The Broadside to Host Spooky Social & Art Market

NEW ORLEANS — Shop the strange, beautiful and wonderfully witchy at the Spooky Social & Art Market, coming to the Broadside on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Presented by The NOLA Slate, this seasonal gathering will feature more than 20 vendors, happy hour drink specials and prize giveaways. The event is open to all.

The outdoor market will showcase an eclectic mix of art, handmade goods and unusual finds, including tarot card series, candles, sculpture, zines, resin earrings, bone jewelry, rosaries, incense, perfume, headdresses, wands, spices, patchwork clothing and books. Shoppers can discover spell-infused fragrances, curious oddities and horror-inspired cocktail recipes while meeting the artists and makers behind them.

Guests are invited to browse the market, enjoy happy hour specials at the bar and join in prize giveaways throughout the evening. Featured Partners Haunted History Tours and The Mystic Resource Center, along with Community Partner Screamfest NOLA, will help bring the spooky spirit to the celebration.

The Spooky Social & Art Market is a special October edition of The Slate Social, The NOLA Slate’s monthly gathering held on the second Wednesday of each month. While The NOLA Slate connects New Orleans’ film community, this evening welcomes neighbors, art lovers, Halloween enthusiasts and anyone looking for a little seasonal magic.
