Before You Submit
A strong release gives readers the complete story without making them search for basic facts.
- Open with the news: Identify who did what, where and when in the first paragraph.
- Explain why it matters locally: Describe the effect on Greater New Orleans or Louisiana residents, organizations or industries.
- Add evidence: Include useful numbers, dates, eligibility details, costs, deadlines or measurable results.
- Use quotes for perspective: A quote should explain significance—not repeat facts already stated.
- Make follow-up easy: Verify every name, title, link and media-contact address before submitting.
Avoid unsupported claims such as “best” or “leading.”
