NEW ORLEANS – The Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC) will host this year’s Chess Fest on Oct. 31. HNOC’s Chess Fest provides an opportunity for chess players from the Greater New Orleans area to gather, celebrate their shared passion, and grow the community for future generations. Whether you’re already an experienced player or someone just curious about learning the fundamentals of the game, HNOC’s youth-led Chess Fest is the place to be.
Attendees of this family-friendly event enjoy the opportunity to meet other chess players from around the city, craft DIY chessboards, play chess puzzle games, move as “human chess pieces” on a giant chessboard, join a friendly fast-chess tournament and more.
Admission free, but registration is required at hnoc.org.
