Fortune Names Ochsner Health in Best Workplaces in Health Care

For the third year in a row, Ochsner Health has been named among the Best Workplaces in Health Care by Fortune Media and Great Place to Work based on national surveys of healthcare professionals

NEW ORLEANS — Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine have selected Ochsner for the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care list. This is Ochsner’s third time being named to this prestigious list in the large employer category. Earning a spot means that Ochsner is one of the best companies to work for in the country.

The Best Workplaces in Health Care award is based on analysis of survey responses from nearly 222,000 employees at Great Place To Work Certified companies in the health care industry.

“We are honored to be recognized by Fortune Media and Great Place to Work,” said Tracey Schiro, executive vice president and chief people and culture officer, Ochsner Health. “Great workplace culture is built in the small, everyday moments — in the acts of care, the dedication and the teamwork our people bring to their work each day. As we support our team members in reaching their full potential, they give back by delivering outstanding care to the patients and communities we serve.”

Ochsner is a Great Place To Work-certified employer, which is the first milestone to be considered for the highly competitive Fortune’s Best Workplaces list. Great Place To Work, a global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary Trust Index Survey to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on over 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 7.3 million employees.

Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees are selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role.

Ochsner is consistently honored for its workplace culture and has received numerous workplace and culture awards, including the 2026 Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces award, 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, the USA TODAY Top Workplaces award, Top Workplaces for Nursing 2026 honor by Nurse.com, and has Gold-level recognition for Joy in Medicine by the American Medical Association.
