NEW ORLEANS — The City announced a new website tool to help citizens best understand impacts from any property tax roll forward in 2027.
The website, hosted here at Nola.gov, is among a host of tools and information now published at Nola.gov/millages intended to inform citizens about their property tax bills as the Council considers a potential roll forward of the millages.
The calculator can be customized for any parcel in New Orleans and allows users to explore different combinations of changes to millage rates, all of which are under consideration through the next several weeks by the Council. Users can also see the per month and per year costs for any of the roll forward combinations, while also learning about the impact on the City’s budget and understanding better what services the millages support.
In addition to the calculator, users can learn generally about property taxes, how they’re calculated, as well as current and historic millage rates at the City’s nola.gov/millages website.
