NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Primary Care Association (LPCA) will host its 43rd Annual Continuing Education Conference at the Astor Crowne Plaza French Quarter, 739 Canal Street, New Orleans, October 20-23, 2025.
This year’s theme, “Leading the Second Line: Honoring Our Past Steps & Guiding the Way Forward,” celebrates more than 60 years of success of the Community Health Center model and its continued ability to innovate, respond to emerging healthcare challenges, and serve Louisiana’s most vulnerable communities.
“This is our largest event of the year, and we are thrilled to be returning to New Orleans,” said LPCA Executive Director Gerrelda Davis. “Our annual conference brings Community Health Centers, healthcare professionals, and partners together to strengthen relationships, bridging the gaps that prevent many Louisianans from accessing care. By working together, we can identify common challenges and best practices as we continue expanding access to high-quality healthcare in our most medically vulnerable communities across the state.”
The conference will bring together healthcare providers, health center administrators, and community partners from across Louisiana for four days of professional development, networking, and collaboration. Educational sessions will focus on Clinical Quality, Practice Management, Health Center Operations, Health Information Technology, Workforce Development, and Finance and Value-Based Care. Featured keynote speakers include International Health & Wellness Ambassador Dr. Eric Griggs, US Health & Human Services Regional Director Erin Tawney, and the National Association of Community Health Center’s Chief Policy Officer, Joe Dunn.
The conference also aims to strengthen partnerships among Community Health Centers and partner organizations working to ensure that every Louisianan has access to high-quality healthcare services, regardless of income, insurance status, or geographic location.
This program has been submitted and is pending approval for 8.0 continuing education contact hours. Attendees who participate in the Cost of Poverty Experience pre-conference session may receive 1.0 contact hour. Additional continuing education credits, up to 7.0 contact hours, have submitted to be available through conference sessions offered October 21-22, dependent on attendance and participation.
Registration for the full conference is $700 and includes breakfast and lunch. Additional pre-conference and post-conference educational sessions are available for separate registration.
