HAMMOND — North Oaks Health has opened a Resilience Room for employees, creating a dedicated space where team members can recharge and manage the physical and emotional demands of working in healthcare.
Located on the North Oaks Medical Center campus, the room provides a quiet environment where employees can relax during approved breaks or before and after their shifts. Amenities include massage chairs, yoga mats and soothing nature sounds to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
The Resilience Room is part of North Oaks Health’s ongoing investment in efforts to support a healthy, engaged workforce.

The Resilience Room is part of our broader effort to ensure employees have the support they need to thrive in their roles and continue advancing our mission of improving lives.”

The Resilience Room offers them a place to step away briefly, recharge and return to work with renewed focus. Even a few minutes in a calming environment can help employees reset during a busy day. We want our team members to know they are valued and have access to resources that support them.”
Employees may reserve the room in 15-minute increments through an online scheduling system.
The Resilience Room is one of several initiatives enhancing the employee experience at North Oaks Health. Its opening follows the recent launch of nourished by North Oaks Health, a program offering chef-prepared meals for $3 to employees, patients, visitors and community members at the health system’s cafeterias. Both programs reflect the organization’s continued investment in promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting the well-being of both its workforce and communities served.
