NORD CEO Search Continues with Community Input Opportunities

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission has closed the application period for its next Chief Executive Officer. Applications were accepted through August 17, and the Commission is now moving forward with the next steps in the search process.

As part of the search process, NORD has invited staff, coaches, volunteers and community members to share their perspectives on the qualities, experience and leadership needed in the next CEO. Feedback gathered through stakeholder meetings and online surveys will help inform the search and candidate evaluation process.

“The Commission appreciates everyone who took the time to attend the community listening session and share their thoughts,” said NORD Commission Chair Kyle Walker. “The feedback provided will be helpful as the Commission continues the CEO search and considers the qualities and experience needed in the next leader.”

Community members who have not yet completed the CEO search survey are encouraged to share their input. The survey will remain open through August 24, 2026.
