NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Policy Institute for Children (LPIC) is excited to announce the promotion of Alexandra Cory to Outreach & Partnerships Senior Manager. Since joining the organization in 2024 as Outreach & Partnerships Manager, Cory has helped build strong relationships with partners across Louisiana and supported LPIC’s mission to improve the lives of young children and families.
In her new role, Cory will lead LPIC’s outreach and partnership efforts by working with nonprofits, business leaders, advocacy groups, and other organizations. She will help build new partnerships, strengthen existing ones, and ensure LPIC’s research and policy work reaches the people who can make a difference.
“Alex has become one of LPIC’s greatest strengths because of her ability to bring people together around a shared vision for Louisiana’s youngest children,” said Libbie Sonnier, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children. “She has earned the trust of partners across the state, built meaningful collaborations, and consistently translates our policy work into action. This promotion reflects not only the incredible work she’s already done, but the leadership we know she will continue to provide as we grow our impact.”
As Outreach & Partnerships Senior Manager, Cory will manage key partnerships, represent LPIC at meetings and events, and help develop outreach strategies that support the organization’s goals. She will also work closely with teams across LPIC to strengthen partnerships and expand the organization’s reach throughout Louisiana.

I’m honored to step into this new role and continue building partnerships that help create lasting opportunities for Louisiana’s children and families.”
Before joining LPIC, Cory served as the Early Childhood Data Manager at the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human development and Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and a master’s degree in social work from Grambling State University.
