Women in Tourism Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Fashionable Fundraiser

NEW ORLEANS – Mid South Women in Tourism (MSWIT) announced its Biennial Passport to Fashion Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11:30–3:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at Treasure Chest Casino. This year’s theme is “50 & Fabulous”.

MSWIT, a tourism-based organization for women, was created in 1976. Today, MSWIT has more than 200 members representing all areas of the tourism industry and proudly presents the biennial fundraiser to support the Cancer Association of Louisiana, the New Orleans Family Justice Center, Dress for Success New Orleans, and Louisiana State University of New Orleans Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Graduate Program.

The 2026 fashionable affair will feature the MSWIT members in a runway show, wearing fashions provided by the Dress for Success New Orleans Boutique. Models include Gina Giacona, Charlene Hale, Ashley Hartman, Zondra Jones, Grace Kovach, Amanda McFillen, Megan Ryburn, Julie Sanford, Ryan Sheckart, and Teresa Vernon.

The afternoon’s festivities will also include a buffet lunch, bottomless mimosa bar with a souvenir glass, a spectacular Parade of Prizes and a Travel Partners Marketplace with vendors from across Louisiana. All attendees will receive a valuable swag bag.

Tickets are only $65 person.
