NEW ORLEANS — Mayor Helena Moreno today released a letter responding to Governor Jeff Landry regarding the City’s financial recovery plan, detailing the significant fiscal reforms already implemented, the difficult steps the administration is taking to navigate current cash flow challenges, and the long-term strategy to restore structural financial stability.
The letter also invites Governor Landry to join the mayor and representatives of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office to meet and review the City’s finances together in a transparent, fact-based discussion rather than continuing to exchange public correspondence.
