Boutique hotel partners with The Collector Selection to showcase works by acclaimed artist Nicole Katsuras ahead of her solo exhibition at 812 Royal Gallery

On Saturday, August 1, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m., Hotel Perle will host a special preview of Vestige of Place, a collection of oil paintings by Canadian artist Nicole Katsuras, presented in partnership with The Collector Selection ahead of the artist’s solo exhibition at 812 Royal Gallery.
“Katsuras states that each work intends to capture the tender, fleeting imprints shaping her journey through motherhood. This dialogues with the quiet beauty of constant transformation – the kind found in life and in the unique landscape of New Orleans,” said Kyla Bernberg of 812 Royal Gallery.
The exhibition offers visitors an exclusive opportunity to view a curated selection of Katsuras’ expressive, richly textured paintings before the full exhibition opens. Inspired by landscape, memory, movement, and the passage of time, her abstract works are known for their bold palette knife techniques and layered compositions that invite viewers to experience place through emotion and imagination.
As guests explore the artwork throughout Hotel Perle, they are also invited to enjoy handcrafted cocktails and light bites from restaurant and rooftop bar, Charles & Julia, located inside Hotel Perle, creating the perfect stop during one of New Orleans’ most celebrated summer arts events.
