Culture Collision Comes to LSU New Orleans in September

NEW ORLEANS – Now in its 16th year, Culture Collision returns on Wednesday, Sept. 2, to kick off the 2026-2027 metro New Orleans cultural season. The event, which is free and open to all, will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the University Center of LSU New Orleans (2000 Lakeshore Dr.).

Presented by WWNO and hosted at LSU New Orleans, this cultural celebration brings together patrons and artists for a self-guided exploration of metro New Orleans’ arts, culture and humanities nonprofit organizations. Culture Collision guests are invited to stroll throughout the University Center to engage with over 50 local nonprofit organizations ranging from classical arts institutions to resourceful contemporary newcomers.  The evening includes a showcase of the powerful, creative energy of the city along with free giveaways, exclusive promotions, and live performances.

WWNO launched Culture Collision in 2008 to raise awareness of the significant impact of the cultural community on the local economy and to provide a platform for collaboration and promotion among cultural organizations.

“From its first year, Culture Collision has featured the broadest range of New Orleans’ cultural endeavors,” said Paul Maassen, WWNO general manager, “We look forward to bringing this impactful event to the LSU New Orleans campus and are proud to present an evening that will amplify so many streams of local artistic expression.”

Tables are still available to area organizations. More information is available at culturenola.com.
