NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana SPCA and Pokémon Center are teaming up this month for a special partnership that celebrates the bond between people and pets while supporting animal welfare in the New Orleans community.

To celebrate the launch of Pokémon Center’s new “Pokémon Playful Partners” Pet Accessories collection, Pokémon Center is partnering with the Louisiana SPCA for a special pet adoption event taking place while the 2026 Pokémon North America International Championships are in New Orleans.

On June 11 from 4 to 6 p.m., community members and Pokémon fans alike will have the opportunity to meet adoptable pets from the Louisiana SPCA during a special offsite adoption activation at Petite Rouge Café and Coffee Truck. The event will feature adoptable animals and exclusive Pokémon Center product samples for adopters while supplies last.

Pokémon fans attending the 2026 Pokémon North America International Championships at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will also have the opportunity to visit the official Pokémon Center store from June 11–14 to explore the new “Pokémon Playful Partners” merchandise collection.
