KID smART Welcomes Robert Travis as Communications Director

NEW ORLEANS – KID smART today announced the appointment of Robert “Robby” Travis as its communications director, a strategic appointment to accelerate the organization’s mission to engage children and educators in dynamic, creative and relevant learning through the arts.

“We are excited to welcome Robby to our team,” said Elise Gallinot Goldman, executive director of KID smART. “He brings a collaborative, people-centered approach to his work and is deeply committed to harnessing creativity as a catalyst for community engagement, educational opportunity and lasting positive social impact. Qualities essential to advancing KID smART’s mission.”

A communications and creative professional with more than seven years of experience leading brand strategy, storytelling, marketing and audience engagement initiatives. He studied at the Webster Conservatory of Music before building a career in communications, design and marketing. Prior to joining KID smART, he served as senior marketing & creative manager for Dickie Brennan & Company, where he led communications and creative strategy across a portfolio of hospitality, dining and event brands.

“As a lifelong creative, I have seen firsthand how the arts can spark curiosity, build confidence and bring communities together,” said Travis. “My work is driven by a passion for authentic storytelling and meaningful visual communication, drawing on experience in photography, design, digital media and brand development. I am excited to help amplify KID smART’s impact by sharing the stories of students, educators and our community, and by showcasing the transformative power of arts education.”

Founded in 1999, KID smART has served more than 70,000 students and 15,000 teachers, providing underserved students with the opportunity to experience dynamic, creative and relevant learning through the arts.
