NEW ORLEANS – The Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC) announced it will participate in the French Quarter Museum Night.
This is a free, after-hours museum evening presented by the French Quarter Museum Association (FQMA), bringing together several museums for a shared celebration of history, culture and community in advance of America’s 250th anniversary. The community is invited to experience the French Quarter cultural corridor, moving between museums, exhibitions, performances and activities that reflect the diverse stories that shaped the United States, many of which unfolded in New Orleans.
The evening will provide a walkable program of museum-led experiences across the Quarter. Participating museums will offer extended gallery hours and activities ranging from music to performances and tours, welcoming visitors to experience New Orleans’ layered histories together, in the place where so many American stories began. The evening will conclude with a closing reception at HNOC, followed by an after-party at Preservation Hall with a cash bar and free admission for Museum Night attendees.
