NEW ORLEANS – As New Orleans prepares to welcome SAIL250 and the arrival of majestic tall ships this Memorial Day weekend, The Windsor Court is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a distinctly New Orleans take on afternoon tea.
From Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, the hotel’s Le Salon will debut a limited-time “Liber-Tea” experience, blending patriotic flair with the refined traditions of one of the city’s most iconic tea services.
Alongside Le Salon’s traditional afternoon tea offerings, guests can enjoy festive American-inspired cocktails including the rum-based ‘High Tea on the High Seas,’ a ‘Firecracker Spritzer’ made with vodka, and a ‘Red, White, and Blue Sangria.’ The culinary team is also preparing themed desserts and specialty touches inspired by the celebratory weekend.
The experience coincides with SAIL250 festivities taking place across New Orleans as part of the nationwide commemoration leading up to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
For visitors traveling to the city during the celebration, The Windsor Court is also offering a special SAIL250 package. Guests booking with code SAIL250 will receive a $50 nightly hotel credit redeemable toward valet parking, spa services, The Polo Club, The Grill Room, or the Liber-Tea experience in Le Salon.
