NEW ORLEANS – Award-winning New Orleans drag entertainer Debbie with a D is officially stepping into a new era with the launch of her first-ever full-scale variety production, “Divas Through the Decades,” debuting at the historic Toulouse Theatre, in the heart of the French Quarter, just in time for Pride Month celebrations in New Orleans.
Blending drag, burlesque, dance, music and theatrical spectacle, the high-energy revue takes audiences on a fast-paced trip through iconic music eras, from vintage glamour to modern pop, with bold performances, stunning visuals, and nonstop entertainment. Then the night takes a turn, leaning into the dark and lamplit lore of New Orleans nightlife and the French Quarter after dark.
Originally built in the French Quarter as a historic performance and gathering space, Toulouse Theatre has become known as one of New Orleans’ most unique entertainment venues, hosting concerts, immersive productions, nightlife experiences, and cultural events inside an architecturally restored space that blends historic character with modern production capabilities. Its location just steps from Bourbon Street places the show directly in the center of New Orleans nightlife culture.

Debbie hosted a run of one of our lagniappe productions and audiences said it was the most fun they’d had all year,” said Augustin J Correro, the Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans founding co-artistic director.
Created as a celebration of live performance, nightlife culture, queer artistry and the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month, “Divas Through the Decades” brings together some of New Orleans’ premier drag, burlesque, dance and nightlife entertainers for an immersive theatrical experience rooted in self-expression, performance, and celebration.
“At its core, the show is about glamour, transformation, and surviving difficult times with your sense of humor intact. Which, coincidentally, is also the central skill set of every drag queen over 24,” says Debbie with a D.
Known for being named Gambit Magazine’s #1 Drag Performer in New Orleans in both 2024 and 2025, along with being a two-time winner of the Mardi Gras Bourbon Street Awards, Debbie with a D has become one of the city’s standout nightlife personalities. “Divas Through the Decades” marks her largest production and first-ever variety show to date.
