“Love the Boot” Cleanup Event Set for April 18th

NEW ORLEANS — The Mayor’s Community Engagement Office is proud to announce its upcoming participation in the statewide “Love the Boot” initiative with a community cleanup event taking place on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at Morris Fx Jeff Park (2529 General Meyer Ave. New Orleans, Louisiana 70114) for 9 am.

Partnering with Keep Algiers Beautiful and Keep Louisiana Beautiful, this event is part of a larger effort to promote environmental stewardship, reduce litter, and bring residents together to take pride in their neighborhoods. Volunteers from across the community are invited to join in making a visible impact by helping clean and restore local public spaces.

Participants will be provided with all necessary supplies, including gloves, trash bags, and cleanup tools. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and come ready to make a difference.

In addition to the cleanup, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow community members, local leaders, and organizations committed to improving the area.
