NEW ORLEANS – The French Quarter Easter Parade is one of New Orleans’ most beloved holiday traditions. Each Easter Sunday, decorated floats, riders in elegant spring attire, and festive crowds fill the historic streets of the French Quarter, celebrating Easter and the vibrant culture of New Orleans.
The parade honors the legacy of legendary Bourbon Street entertainer Chris Owens and continues a decades-long tradition bringing locals and visitors together in celebration of spring, music, and the spirit of New Orleans.
Event Schedule:
11 a.m.: Hat Contest, Silent Auction, Live Entertainment | Omni Royal Orleans Hotel –
Grand Ballroom
1 p.m.: Parade Begins | Royal Street & St. Louis Street
Following parade: Champagne Brunch & Live Music – David Cook and the Yat Pack | Omni Royal Orleans Hotel
This year, due to the Jan. 1, 2025, Bourbon Street Terrorist Attack, the revelry will not be able to parade down Bourbon Street.

This year’s parade route has been updated and will begin at the corner of Royal Street and St. Louis Street, in front of the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. The parade will proceed down St. Louis Street, then turn right onto Burgundy Street. It will continue along Burgundy and turn right onto St. Ann Street. The route will then proceed to Bourbon Street, where the parade will turn left. From Bourbon Street, the parade will turn right onto St. Philip Street, continuing to Decatur Street. The procession will travel along Decatur Street to St. Louis Street, where it will turn right and conclude back at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel.
Due to the change, the French Quarter Easter Parade is asking for your help to afford additional police that is required to secure the route so the Parade can proceed. Please help us parade by “ADOPTING A COP” to secure our route. Your generous donation is greatly appreciated and will keep this 41st year tradition going forward! A $275.00 donation will secure a police.
