NEW ORLEANS — Friday, March 6, Pontchartrain Conservancy is excited to offer community members the opportunity to attend a free screening of The Goonies at the New Canal Lighthouse located at 8001 Lakeshore Dr. in New Orleans as part of New Orleans Recreation Development Commission’s (NORD) spring Movie in the Park series. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with the movie beginning slightly before sunset.
“We are excited to welcome the community out to the Lighthouse for a classic adventure with The Goonies,” said Kristi Trail, executive director of Pontchartrain Conservancy. “With the lake as a backdrop, this is sure to be a memorable night for all ages.”
Community members are invited to come out to the Lighthouse to enjoy the movie and learn more about the importance of Lake Pontchartrain to our area. In addition to educational resources, Pontchartrain Conservancywill be offering snack and beverage options for sale, including beer.
