Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Fest Masterclass Heads to New Orleans Feb. 26th

NEW ORLEANS – The energy of Martha’s Vineyard is making its way to the Crescent City. The Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Fest Masterclass arrives in New Orleans, Feb. 26, for an evening centered on laughter, legacy, and lessons learned from the stage.

Hosted at the iconic Ashé Cultural Arts Center, this experience blends comedy, culture, entrepreneurship and inspiration into one powerful night.

Founded by Steve Capers, the Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Fest has grown into a nationally recognized cultural destination — known as the heart and soul of comedy. Now, Capers brings the festival’s signature energy on the road through an intimate Masterclass designed to educate, empower and entertain.

During the evening’s fireside chat — hosted by Cary and Deb Grant — attendees will not only gain real-world business and branding insight, but also experience Capers’ personal journey as outlined in his book, “Black Face to Black Faces: The Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Fest Story.” From vision to execution, setbacks to success, the Masterclass offers an inside look at building legacy through laughter and leadership.

The evening will feature performances by nationally acclaimed comedian Damon Williams and music by DJ Dolla Bill, creating a vibrant blend of entertainment and empowerment.

Guests will enjoy curated food and drinks provided by the legendary Dooky Chase’s Restaurant, adding authentic New Orleans flavor to the experience.

The evening will conclude with an exclusive book signing, giving attendees the opportunity to meet Capers personally and receive a signed copy of his inspiring memoir.

“This Masterclass is bigger than comedy,” says Capers. “It’s about building something that outlives you. It’s about laughter, yes — but also legacy.”
