NEW ORLEANS – Presented by Friends of Tremé Culture, the Tremé Fall Festival marks its 10th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the grounds of St. Augustine Catholic Church (1210 Governor Nicholls St.) and neighboring streets in the heart of Tremé. This free, family-friendly festival showcases the music, food and culture of America’s oldest African American neighborhood.
Festival Highlights:
At Tremé Fall Fest, audiences will enjoy:
- The Tremé Fall Fest Second Line Parade featuring brass bands, Baby Dolls, Zulu Tramps, honoree Big Chief Victor Harris, and more. The parade begins at Kerlerec St. & Henriette Delille St. at 11am and will wind its way to the mainstage.
- A full day of live New Orleans music by beloved legends and rising stars.
- The official 2025 Festival Poster, “Lady in Tremé” by acclaimed artist Terrance Osborne, which pays homage to the free women of color (FWC) of Tremé. Posters are available as Unsigned, Signed & Numbered, and Signed & Remarqued editions. Discounted pre-orders are available through Sept. 17 at tremefest.org.
- Flavors of New Orleans from a curated selection of local restaurants and caterers.
- A bustling arts & crafts marketplace showcasing local artists, makers, and vendors.
- Smaller street performance groups, continuing a timeless New Orleans tradition.
- A Sunday Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m.

Patron Party – Friday, Oct. 17
The celebration begins with a 10th Anniversary Patron Party on Friday, Oct. 17, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center (1225 N. Rampart St.). The Patron Party features a live performance by the legendary Wanda Rouzan and a Taste of New Orleans, culinary delicacies, and an open bar. Also, there will be a great auction and a honoree recognition of Big Chief Victor Harris.

Honoring Big Chief Victor Harris
This year’s honoree, Big Chief Victor Harris, has carried forward the Black Masking Indian tradition for nearly 60 years. Beginning at age 15 under the mentorship of Big Chief Allison “Tootie” Montana, Harris is revered for his artistry, resilience, and community pride. “Culture means a lot. It means everything.
