NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission proudly launches the 2025 season of its Athlete of the Week program by celebrating an exceptional young player whose talent and determination set a high standard for the year ahead.
Week 1’s Athlete of the Week is James Hill, Jr. better known on the field as “Ticketmaster” from the Harrell Rams. James is a versatile and dynamic 10-year-old athlete who plays both running back and wide receiver.
A 5th-grade Honor Roll student at Good Shepherd, James made a strong impression in the Rams’ season opener against the Sam Bonart Bulldogs, scoring three touchdowns and racking up five tackles on defense.
In addition to his football accomplishments, James is also a national 100-meter champion, showcasing elite speed and athleticism. His favorite NFL player is Saquon Barkley, and his favorite subject in school is math.
Each week throughout the football season, NORD will recognize one outstanding youth athlete from its citywide youth and middle school tackle football leagues. Honorees are selected by coaches and NORD officials based on athletic performance, leadership, and dedication to the sport.
Featured athletes will be spotlighted every Friday at 11 p.m. on WGNO’s Friday Night Football.
