Les Dames d’Escoffier New Orleans to Host Hot Dish 2025 at Mister Mao Swim Club

NEW ORLEANS – What’s on deck for Hot Dish 2025? Organizers say, imagine a poolside evening under the stars, fueled by the creativity of New Orleans’ most celebrated chefs, all in support of women making waves in hospitality, sustainability, and food justice. Hot Dish 2025 will take place Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Mister Mao Swim Club at the Maidstone New Orleans.

Presented by Les Dames d’Escoffier New Orleans, Hot Dish is more than just a party, and it’s not your grandma’s fundraiser. It’s a vibrant, culinary “fun-raiser,” says organizers, that supports the local chapter’s Leading from the Heart Awards, a grant program empowering women in the Greater New Orleans community who are changing the face of food in our region.

This year’s sizzling chef lineup features some of the most influential and innovative culinary talents in New Orleans, including:

Sophina Uong, Chef/Owner of Mister Mao and Operating Partner at The Maidstone
Kaitlin Guerin, Chef/Owner of Lagniappe Bakehouse
Meg Bickford, Executive Chef of Commander’s Palace
Maggie Scales, Executive Pastry Chef of La Boulangerie / LRG Pastry
Justin Devillier, Chef/Owner of La Petite Grocery
Amy Mehrtens, Executive Chef of Copper Vine Restaurant & Inn

Chaya Conrad, Chef/Owner of Bywater Bakery
Scot Craig, Chef/Owner of Katie’s Restaurant
Antoine’s Restaurant

“Hot Dish is more than a fundraiser – it’s a reflection of the community of women who shape New Orleans’ food and hospitality culture every day,” said chapter president Dee Lavigne. “We’re bringing together talent, heart and flavor in one place, and we’re inviting everyone to experience what makes our mission so meaningful.”

Bold bites from participating chefs include: Crispy Rice Salad & Gulf Shrimp, Fried Chicken Skins with Cajun Caviar and Alabama Barbecue, Chicken Coq au Vin, Roasted Squash & Shellfish Soup with Pumpkin Seed Pistou, Chilled Shrimp Regua, and more.

Guests will also enjoy craft cocktails alongside auction and raffle prizes that support a cause with real community impact.

Reception tickets are $100 per person, or $150 per person for early-entry Patron Party tickets, and include all food and select drinks. Cash bar available.
