COVINGTON – The sixth annual Bluesberry Music + Art Festival, presented by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust, will take place in Covington on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a lineup of regional and national talent. Headlining this full-day celebration of blues music and the arts is Texas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire Casey James. Other featured performances include crowd favorites Jared Daws, JJ Muggler, and Julian Primeaux, as well as the powerhouse New Orleans blues band Kevin & The Blues Groovers. Bringing a high-energy mix of talent and soul to the stage, these artists promise an unforgettable experience for festivalgoers. Bluesberry Festival will also feature a number of local and regional musicians on its Pavilion Stage.
Set in Downtown Covington’s riverside Bogue Falaya Park, Bluesberry Festival is a perfect place for music and art aficionados who want to “experience” the arts amidst Southeast Louisiana’s natural landscape. In addition to a diverse music lineup, the festival features live art demonstrations; 20+ talented artists from across the region who will be selling their original work; and a free interactive painting. The Children’s Village, sponsored by Louisiana State Senator Patrick McMath, also provides kids with free opportunities to exercise their own creative talent.
As for food and drink options, the festival will once again feature the Food Truck Roundup with local cuisine from mobile eateries like Rue Chow, Creole Tomateaux, Matt’s Chicken Sandwiches, Hogs for a Cause, and more. Each will serve up their signature dishes, but also put a blueberry spin on some old favorites! The festival will also offer a variety of craft cocktails and wines, and a selection of craft brews in the Abita Beer Garden, including Abita’s blueberry beer.
“As a co-founder of the Bluesberry Music + Art Festival, I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our sixth year in beautiful downtown Covington! What started as a dream has grown into a vibrant celebration of music, art, food and community, and this year promises to be our most exciting yet!” said festival co-founder Sarada Bonnett. “We’re bringing fresh talent to the stage, new art installations, and a few surprises we can’t wait to share. Whether you’ve been with us since year one or you’re joining us for the first time, Bluesberry 2025 is going to be something special.”
General admission to the festival is $25 online, $30 at the gate, and free for children ages 10 and under. Festival parking will be available at the St. Tammany Justice Center, and the Gulf Coast Bank Trolley and Royal Coach Trolley will be running throughout the day, transporting festival patrons to and from Bogue Falaya Park.
