NEW ORLEANS – To help locals and guests alike beat the heat, The Roosevelt, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel has launched NOLA After Dark, a new collection of nighttime experiences that staff says blends the hotel’s storied glamour with the city’s vibrant energy.
From live jazz sessions and cocktails under the stars to indulgent late-night bites and history lessons, every evening is designed to immerse guests in a new perspective of the city’s culture.
- Rhythm & Roots: A Historic Jazz Crawl
Curated for Roosevelt guests in partnership with Big Easy Walking Tours, this walking tour is led by local jazz musicians who double as expert guides. The three-hour experience offers an insider’s take on New Orleans’ rich music history and culture, kicking off with a tribute to The Roosevelt’s own legendary musical past, and followed by exclusive visits to top jazz venues and sites in the French Quarter. Along the way, guests can indulge in a music history masterclass, and of course, classic New Orleans cocktails. Learn more HERE.
- Jazz Returns to the Blue Room
For two special evenings this summer, The Roosevelt invites guests and locals to step back in time, as the iconic Blue Room reopens its doors for live jazz performances. Once graced by Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra, the venue will welcome the John Saavedra Band to the stage for unforgettable music, complete with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Aug. 16 & Sept. 20 | 7–10 p.m.; tickets HERE.
- NOLA Cuisine by Night: Southern Fare, French Influence
At the onsite Fountain Lounge, Executive Chef Daniel Mills and Chef de Cuisine Joseph Turley have crafted a special nighttime menu that weaves French culinary tradition with Southern sensibilities.
