City of New Orleans Amnesty Program Now Live for Past-Due Parking and Traffic Camera Tickets

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans has officially launched a limited-time amnesty program, giving motorists the opportunity to resolve past-due parking and traffic camera tickets without late fees now through August 31.

Motorists with eligible tickets can participate in the program by visiting the online portal or calling for assistance. Anyone with a parking ticket more than 30 days old or a traffic camera ticket more than 60 days old (issued before June 1) is eligible to have late fees waived. The program is open to everyone — including people who live in, work in or have visited New Orleans.

The city is partnering with Promise, a trusted technology provider, to manage the secure PromisePay system. Participants can pay in full or start a flexible, interest-free payment plan through the platform.

“This is about meeting people where they are,” said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. “By removing late fees, we’re making it easier for people to take care of what they owe and move forward — without added stress or penalties.”

To check eligibility and participate, visit http://nola-amnesty.promise-pay.com or call (504)
527-8799.

Some eligible motorists may also receive a legitimate text message from PromisePay with an invitation to join the program. If you have questions about a message you receive, contact the PromisePay support team at the number above. You may opt out of text messages at any time.

The city’s past amnesty programs in 2019 and 2022 helped thousands of residents catch up on unpaid tickets and saved millions in late fees.
