NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Capital Projects Administration (CPA) and the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Super Bowl LIX Turf Relocation Project. The event will take place at the Lafitte Greenway (Lemann Playground) Football Field and will highlight newly installed turf at multiple NORD playgrounds across the city, made possible by a donation from the National Football League (NFL) and City Bond Funding.
In addition to the Lafitte Greenway Football Field, the ceremony will also acknowledge turf placement at Joe Brown Baseball Stadium, Perry Roehm Baseball Stadium, and future placement at Larry Gilbert Stadium. The upgraded fields will support youth sports activities year-round and comply with accessibility standards and NCAA guidelines.
