NEW ORLEANS – In partnership with local, state, and federal partners, the FBI has opened the Family Assistance Center (FAC), centralized location where victims and their loved ones can receive in-person information and assistance following the Bourbon Street tragedy on New Years Day. The FAC will provide services from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (hours subject to change) at St. Martin de Porres Parish School at 5621 Elysian Fields Avenue.
This space is open for those individuals who were present at the Bourbon Street attack, even if they were not physically injured. There are several agencies present providing crisis assistance, financial assistance, legal and lodging assistance, needs assessments, mental health services, returning personal effects and many other additional resources. Interpretation services are available.
