Toups Family Meal to Host First Annual Thanksgiving Meal Box Drive Nov. 23rd

NEW ORLEANSToups Family Meal (TFM), Chef Isaac and Amanda Toups’ non-profit dedicated to providing food security for families in need, announced its first annual Thanksgiving Meal Box Drive on Saturday, Nov. 23. Delivering free Thanksgiving grocery meal boxes to 1,500 New Orleanians, Isaac, Amanda and their team of volunteers are working hard to ensure that no family in New Orleans goes hungry this Thanksgiving.

That Saturday, from 3-5 p.m., volunteer delivery drivers will set out in their vehicles to deliver box meals containing all the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving meal: A whole chicken with just enough time to thaw for the big day, along with classic sides like collard greens, potatoes, mac n’ cheesecornbread, and dessert. Additionally, in keeping with the theme of the holiday season, the boxes will include a milk chocolate advent calendar. This special treat will allow families to experience the added joy of being able to count down the days to Christmas!
