Local Restaurants Celebrate National Happy Hour Day 2024

NEW ORLEANS – Mark your calendar for National Happy Hour Day on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Celebrate this festive drinking occasion at three bars in New Orleans.

The Bower Bar

Located in the LGD on Magazine Street, The Bower Bar is the perfect perch to enjoy cocktails & bites on National Happy Hour Day, Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 4-6 p.m. Enjoy ($5- $7)  libations like the various house wines, the Classic Martini in either gin or vodka, the PalomaOld Fashioned, and Frozen Half Pour. The second oldest restaurant has brought back Happy Hour! On National Happy Hour Day from 3-5 p.m., guests can enjoy ($5-$7) beverages, including daily punch (when available), SazeracOld FashionedPalomaFrench 75, and local craft beer. Food options include Cheese/Charcuterie Board — chef’s choice of two meats and two cheeses, Spicy Shrimp Brochette on a Po’ Boy bread, ½ Dozen Charbroiled Oysters in garlic, Turtle Soup or Gumbo Du JourBoudin Balls, and Truffle Fries. Commons Club inside the Virgin Hotels New Orleans 

Social Hour at Commons Club is the place to be during National Happy Hour Day. From  4-6 p.m., enjoy in $7 craft cocktails, like the tasty Punch-O-the DaySazeracDaiquirior Gimlet. Beers and wines are also available. Specially crafted by Executive Chef Chris Borrges, try dishes like the Lamb Meatballs with gigante beans, lamb amatriciana, and parmesan; Pork Osso Bucco Arancini with cherry pepper ragout, and smoked gouda; Crispy Chicken Wings with Calabrian chili vinaigrette and Italian furikake; Muffaletta Sliders with ham, salami, swiss cheese, smoked gouda, and olive relish; and Fried Sunchokes with rosemary, brown butter, mascarpone, and Meyer lemon.
