
NEW ORLEANS — STEM NOLA is excited to announce its upcoming event, STEM Saturday: ‘Heart & Circulatory System,’ taking place on October 12, 2024, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM at the John P. Lyons Recreation Center, located at 624 Louisiana Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115.
This complimentary, interactive event is designed for students in grades K-12 who are passionate about exploring the fields of science and medicine. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, including dissecting a real heart and constructing their own mechanical heart. Special Activities for Young Children
In addition to the main event, children aged 0-4 years old are invited to participate in their own hands-on activities at STEM NOLA’s We Play Center, brought to you by Training Grounds. Parents can register their little ones by scanning the QR code provided at the event or by visiting the registration link.
Volunteer Opportunities
STEM NOLA is seeking volunteers, including college students, medical students, and healthcare professionals, to help inspire the next generation of scientists.
