UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Louisiana held a First Responder Wellness Event in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS – UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Louisiana hosted a free First Responder Wellness Event to thank New Orleans first responders for their service and to remind them of available resources to support their mental and physical health. The event took place at the Luter Student Center at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary on October 15 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The event was designed to help responders focus on their wellness and overall well-being, as day-to-day responsibilities of this group can take a toll on their health if not addressed. The event also consisted of several key speakers discussing trauma, recovery, stress management for first responders, recognizing and treating substance use disorders, and emotional resiliency.
