NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for a technical assistance provider to support the establishment of a Juvenile Assessment Center. The project, titled Juvenile Assessment Center Technical Assistance, is funded by $175,000 from the City of New Orleans’ American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation. The deadline to apply for the funding is Oct. 29.
Applications are available on the Office of Criminal Justice Coordination’s website. A virtual information session for interested applicants will be held on October 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. CST.
This NOFA will distribute up to $175,000 to support an organization that provides technical assistance in establishing a Juvenile Assessment Center in New Orleans.
The selected provider will work closely with the Office of Criminal Justice Coordination, the selected Assessment Center operator, and youth justice system stakeholders to ensure the Juvenile Assessment Center’s operations align with national best practices.
