NEW ORLEANS – For the first time since the new $20 million LED lighting project, Crescent City Classic will hold its annual Crescent Connection Bridge Run on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m.
Thousands of runners will run from the Westbank to the Eastbank over the iconic Crescent City Connection Bridge as they compete in the Crescent Connection Bridge Run. The race is a 6k (3.7-mile) race with the starting line near Oakwood Center and the finish line and post-race party on Fulton Street in the heart of the historic Warehouse District. This year’s event will feature an expanded post-race footprint on Fulton Street.
“We’re excited to bring back the Crescent Connection Bridge Run and continue the 6k format,” said Crescent City Classic Race Director Eric Stuart. “The course across the Crescent City Connection provides picturesque views of downtown New Orleans at sunset so it’s an experience you don’t want to miss.”
Once the thousands of runners and walkers pass the finish line, they will be treated to a free post-race party with drinks, food and live music on Fulton Street near Manning’s.
Registration for this year’s CCC Bridge Run is open online at www.ccc10k.com and is $40 for runners and walkers who sign up by midnight on Saturday, Sept. 21. The price will then increase to $45. All registrants will receive the official 2024 Bridge Run t-shirt, highly sought-after finisher medal and keepsake race bib.
