MaMou to Host Alsatian Wine Dinner with Trimbach Co-Owner, Jean Trimbach

NEW ORLEANSMaMou, the French Brasserie on Rampart Street by Tom Branighan and Molly Wismeier, is pleased to host a beautiful Alsatian five-course wine dinner featuring Maison F.E. Trimbach, the Alsatian wine maker who since 1626 has been a reference point for fine Alsace wine. Trimbach wines are sought out by collectors and enthusiasts, and they’ve held the distinction of being the United States’ number one still wine Alsace producer since 1978.

The dinner, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, will include special guest Jean Trimbach, 12th generation co-owner of Trimbach, to explain and describe the featured wines. Chef Tom Branighan’s menu will include Alsatian dishes with nods to Southern Louisiana as seen in his Cobia Viennoise with Pineapple Saffron, Asparagus and Crawfish Bisque. The full menu with Trimbach pairings can be viewed below.

Priced at $250 a person (excluding tax and gratuity), reservations for the dinner can be secured by emailing host@mamounola.com or calling 504-381-4557.
