NEW ORLEANS – The debut of Son of a Saint’s Hoops Fest event marks an exciting milestone for mentors and mentees alike as they take the court at the Holy Cross Gymnasium from noon to 3 p.m. April 13 in a friendly, competitive environment.
The goal of this event is to engage all facets of Son of a Saint and its collective network. Mentees, mentors, alumni and Son of a Saint staff will team up to play in two back-to-back, exhibition-style basketball games. The general public is also invited to attend as spectators and classic concessions will be available for purchase to help raise funds for Son of a Saint.
With the mentors and mentees facing off, the tournament will not only be a celebration of athleticism, but also will serve to highlight the bonds within the Son of a Saint Family and support from the larger community.
