Chevron Announced as a Founding Partner, Sponsoring Super Bowl LIX Host Committee Ambassador Program

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Super Bowl LIX Host Committee, led by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and the New Orleans Saints, is proud to recognize Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit as a Founding Partner, sponsoring the Super Bowl LIX Host Committee Ambassador Program. The announcement was officially made by Chevron at the opening day press event for the 2024 French Quarter Festival, which is also sponsored by the company.

The Host Committee is tasked with recruiting, training, and organizing the Super Bowl’s thousands of volunteer Ambassadors who are essential to New Orleans’ effort. Chevron’s support is part of the company’s continued commitment to positively impact the Greater New Orleans community.

“People are at the center of everything we do to meet energy demand in affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner ways,” said Leah Brown, Public Affairs Manager of Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. “As the Human Energy Company, we are proud to join the Super Bowl Host Committee as the Volunteer Program Sponsor and thank the thousands of ambassadors who will lend a helping hand and make our visitors feel welcome.”

Chevron’s collaborations with local businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations help communities prosper and bring about positive change. With a focus on improving education, economic development, health care and social services, as well as environmental and coastal protection programs, Chevron is committed to making a meaningful impact in the areas where they live and work.

“Our home team needs you to join the Host Committee and Chevron’s efforts to show why we’re the most hospitable city in the world,” said New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson. “Welcoming guests is what we do, and we’re calling on our dedicated fans locally – and beyond – to serve as a volunteer Ambassador.”

The Host Committee is dedicated to creating a unique and memorable Super Bowl LIX experience for the hundreds of thousands of fans who flock to the city for the big game. These efforts would not be possible without founding partners like Entergy and Chevron, official medical provider Ochsner, and other Host Committee partners, including Louisiana Fish Fry, Pan American Life Insurance, Freeport McMoran, the City of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana, New Orleans & Company, and the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund.

“It speaks volumes that Chevron is joining Entergy as a Founding Partner of the Host Committee to welcome the NFL and hundreds of thousands of guests to our city in ten short months,” said Host Committee Chair and Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Entergy, Marcus Brown. “We thank Chevron and all our partner organizations for dedicating their time, talents and resources to the success of Super Bowl LIX.”

New Orleans has a rich history with the Super Bowl, celebrating 55 years of hosting, which supports the Host Committee’s theme — “it’s what we do.” Super Bowl LIX will give the Crescent City the distinguishment of hosting for a record-tying 11th time, with four of those successful events served by the current Host Committee organizations.

“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans Saints are no strangers to successfully hosting major events, and we understand the essential role our Ambassadors, through Chevron’s partnership, will play in that success,” said Jay Cicero, President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation/Super Bowl LIX Host Committee. “Ambassadors are often the first and last faces that visitors and fans will see and are responsible for representing New Orleans and Louisiana to Super Bowl visitors from across the world.

Registration is now open to applicants aged 18 and up. Volunteers will need to pass a background check and will receive role-specific training once assigned. Interested applicants may apply here. Although Ambassadors won’t have access to the big game, they will get the chance to experience the major events and fan activations up close.
