City of New Orleans to Host Infrastructure Industry Day and Job Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 7th

“As we continue to collectively navigate global inflation, supply chain delays and other lasting consequences of the pandemic, the City has remained steadfast in our efforts to deliver results for our people through the hard work of our over 4,000 City employees,” said Mayor LaToya Cantrell. “With our efforts to not only continue improving our aging infrastructure citywide but also expanding and diversifying our economy, it is important that we also set our people up for success by exposing them to several high-demand opportunities right here in the city to ensure they can support themselves and their families for generations to come. This industry day and job fair presents several opportunities both for individuals seeking better employment and for businesses looking to work with the City to bring about more meaningful progress.”

The Cantrell Administration started this initiative in 2021 to showcase opportunities for jobs within City government, facilitate meaningful connections between job seekers and our valued teams and attract talented individuals who align with our mission, values and goals. Continuing to build upon our dedicated workforce of public servants will further contribute to the city’s growth and success.

“These Infrastructure Industry Days offer great resources and opportunities for the contracting community, and we are thankful for the broad participation of local businesses,” said Threat. “The unprecedented amount of infrastructure improvements being done throughout the city, utilizing federal, state and local funds, is exciting, and it is providing economic opportunity to our local businesses. In addition to facilitating these important industry connections, we are also hosting a City Job Fair for our people to get connected to stable employment to help us continue to do the work.”
