Morial Convention Center to Participate in 44th Annual Tulane Business Forum

NEW ORLEANS — From energy and health care to real estate and gaming, innovative businesses are pursuing exciting new opportunities in Louisiana’s legacy industries. For the 44th annual Tulane Business Forum, “Winning Strategies: Louisiana’s Next Generation Economy”, a distinguished panel of executives and experts will discuss the state’s emerging economy and what they’re doing now to position themselves for future success.

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is a sponsor of this year’s event, which will take place on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Convention Center. Michael J. Sawaya, Convention Center President and CEO, will give welcome remarks.

“As a major economic engine for the city of New Orleans, we are always looking for opportunities to underscore our commitment to fostering economic growth and innovation for our city and state,” Sawaya said. “We are proud to participate in the 44th annual Tulane Business Forum and appreciate the opportunity to come together and trade ideas and strategies with some of the most innovative companies in our region.”

The Tulane Business Form is the premier event of the Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA), which represents over 20,000 alumni worldwide. This year’s speakers will discuss issues, challenges and opportunities in areas including energy, real estate, sustainability, tax, gaming and health care.

“Louisiana’s economy has long been driven by industries like oil and gas, health care and hospitality, but now we’re seeing a shift, with visionary leaders embracing new technologies, approaches and business models,” said Louis David (MBA ’11), president of TABA. “The 44th annual Tulane Business Forum showcases some of these future-focused executives who are developing winning strategies for the future.”

Registration is available online and in-person on the day of the event. Registration starts at $275 for the general public and $200 for Tulane alumni.
