2023 Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kickoff Party Set for Oct. 29th

NEW ORLEANS — Join New Orleans Residents to Raise Awareness and Funds for Alzheimer’s Care, Support, and Research!

Alzheimer’s disease affects thousands of people each year. To help raise money for the annual walk, set for October 28 at Faubourg Brewing Co., the local Alzheimer’s Association is bringing awareness to their Community Kickoff Party!

Wednesday, August 23, the New Orleans Walk to End Alzheimer’s group will host a Community kickoff event at the New Orleans Museum of Art beginning at 5:30 p.m. Party at the newly renovated indoor Coleman Courtyard! Whether it’s your first time participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s or you’re a seasoned pro, we invite you to join us for great food, fun door prizes, and giveaways!

Who:  Louisiana Alzheimer’s Association will host a Community Kickoff Party to mark the upcoming area Walk to End Alzheimer’s. New Orleans area residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® — the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Register for the Walk and connect with people in the community. Everyone who registers a new team will receive a Team Captain Kit and some cool swag! Enjoy appetizers and desserts, a cash bar, free museum admission until 7 pm, and access to our programs and services. You’ll hear from this year’s Walk Chair, Kelly Martin, Executive Director of Laurel Senior Living as well as a local family, who will be sharing their journey with the disease.
