NEW ORLEANS — The Office of Housing Policy and Community Development today announced that the City of New Orleans is preparing its 2023 Annual Action Plan (AAP).
The AAP is a one-year planning and application document based on community participation addressing how Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s four formula grant allocations will be expended for the current year. Programs include:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME)
- Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
- Housing Opportunities for Persons Living with HIV/AIDS
The City is seeking residents’ views on housing and community development needs on how these federal funds will be expended. The general public and representatives from businesses, housing, educational, social service, non-profit and faith-based organizations are encouraged to attend to provide input.
The public hearing will be held at the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) at 1409 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. on Wednesday, June 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
