NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans EMS Foundation is proud to announce its steadfast commitment and support for EMS Week 2023, recognizing the invaluable services and contributions of emergency medical services (EMS) professionals in our community. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing emergency medical services in the Greater New Orleans area, the foundation believes in honoring the hard work and dedication of EMS personnel.
EMS Week, which runs from May 21 to May 27, serves as an annual opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the selfless individuals who provide life-saving care to those in need. The New Orleans EMS Foundation is proud to join the nationwide campaign to recognize the tireless efforts of EMS professionals, who are the first responders in times of crisis.
As part of its support for EMS Week 2023, the New Orleans EMS Foundation will be organizing various activities and initiatives to uplift and encourage EMS personnel throughout the week. These initiatives include:
Recognition Events: The foundation will host special recognition events to honor the exceptional service and achievements of New Orleans EMS First Responders.
Community Engagement: The New Orleans EMS Foundation understands the significance of community support in fostering a positive environment for EMS personnel. It will actively engage with the local community through outreach events, public awareness campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations to promote the value of EMS services.
Fundraising Campaign: To further its mission of enhancing emergency medical services in the region, the New Orleans EMS Foundation will launch a fundraising campaign during EMS Week 2023. The funds raised will be utilized to promote recruitment and retention efforts for New Orleans EMS, provide additional resources, and professional development opportunities for the City of New Orleans’ 911 service, ensuring they have the necessary tools and staff to deliver exceptional care.
