Jefferson Ready Start to Host Free Parent/Caregiver Workshop

Free community event for learning effective strategies for at-home development

METAIRIE – Jefferson Ready Start Network (JRSN) is pleased to announce a free, community event for parents and caregivers of children birth to 5 within the Jefferson Parish early care network.

The Saturday, June 10 workshop aims to equip parents and caregivers with tools for understanding behaviors, developing routines, and learning songs and rhymes that can increase the quality of relationships between caregivers and children.

“Attending this session can be the key to building a stronger relationship with your children,” said JRSN Executive Director, Sarintha Stricklin, Ph.D. “Early care and education is incredibly important and it starts at home. Our team is excited to share effective strategies that foster meaningful relationships and unlock the potential for development in our little ones.”

The free workshop will be held at the Marriott Hotel at Lakeway at 3838 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be two sessions available – one in English and one in Spanish. Please note this interactive training is for adult attendees only. There is no cost to attend, however pre-registration is requested here.
