Bayou Bar, SoFAB and Mister Mao Host Events This Month

NEW ORLEANS – Bayou Bar, SoFAB, and Mister Mao are hosting events this month.

Bayou Bar “Bayou Bourbon Club” Tuesday, February 15 – Join Bayou Bar’s whiskey aficionado Christopher Willis for a guided tasting and deep dive into the history of Bayou Bar, the bourbon-centric drinking den nestled on the ground floor of Pontchartrain Hotel. Tickets, priced at $50 per person, including tastings and bites from Chef/Owner Brian Landry.

Whiskey “Parade Route Party” Saturday, February 19 – Take a break from the St. Charles route parades on February 19 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and head over to Southern Food & Beverage Museum for tastings and education from Redemption Whiskey. Priced at $20 per person, tickets include all-day access to the Museum (11:00 to 5:00 p.m.); whiskey tasting from Redemption Rye, and all ticket purchasers are entered into a raffle for a Bayou St. Cake King Cake created by Chef Bronwen Wyatt (and restrooms!).

Mister Mao Guest Chef Series Kick-off with Good Trouble Network, Sunday, February 20 – Join Chef Sophina Uong as she kicks off a Guest Chef Charity Series with Good Trouble Network to benefit OPPRC. Priced at $65 per person, guests will enjoy four courses prepared by local Chefs Nick Martin Dr. Smoke’s Kitchen); Octavio Ycaza (Crescent Culinary); and Christina Quackenbush (Milkfish).
