New Orleans Provides Update on Solid Waste Collection for Christmas and New Year’s Day Holidays

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation reminds residents and businesses at eligible properties serviced by the City of the solid waste collection schedule for Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021 (Christmas Day) and Saturday, Jan.1, 2022 (New Year’s Day).

Outside of the French Quarter and Downtown Development District, there will be no curbside solid waste collection at eligible properties serviced by the City of New Orleans on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, and Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. Curbside solid waste collection will occur on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, and Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, respectively for all locations with regularly scheduled collection on Saturday.

Daily curbside solid waste collection will not be affected at eligible properties serviced by the City of New Orleans within the French Quarter and Downtown Development District during Christmas (Dec. 25, 2021) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1, 2022).
