MEN’S BASKETBALL

The return of the UNO Classic marks the first multi-team tournament hosted by New Orleans over the holidays since the UNO Christmas Classic during the 1998-99 campaign. The tournament will take place over the three days around Thanksgiving and will run Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Nov. 26.

The Privateers will also fight for bragging rights of the city of New Orleans in 2021-22 as UNO will host Loyola in an exhibition to open the year on Saturday, Nov. 6 (which features the university’s Homecoming celebration) and Dillard on Friday, Dec. 17.

The schedule will then turn to the tightly-contested Southland Conference slate that gets underway as New Orleans hosts rival Nicholls on Saturday, Jan. 15.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
On the women’s side, UNO fans will be able to watch the Privateers 11 times at the UNO Lakefront Arena in 2021-22, highlighted by four non-conference games that include West Alabama (Homecoming – Nov. 6), Xavier (Education Day – Nov. 18), Jacksonville State (Dec. 12) and Grambling State (Dec. 29).

The schedule then hits the Southland slate, beginning with a showdown with Nicholls as part of a doubleheader with the men on Saturday, Jan. 15.
