A veteran music industry consultant and current owner of Bresette & Company, Suzanne Bresette comes to New Orleans after a successful career in the music industry; She was involved in the build out and launch of Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and worked in New York for many years in venue consulting and strategy. Bresette, who began working with the Jazz & Blues Market in December 2024, will now serve as venue’s Interim Manager, leading the charge with music booking, marketing and organization strategy with her team at Bresette and Company.
Amidst the transition in management, NOJO is working to rebuild its foundation to remain a steadfast presence in New Orleans’ cultural landscape as an unwavering partner to the community in advancing arts, culture and music education. “As we work diligently to put the “new” back into The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and The New Orleans Jazz and Blues Market, we are ever-mindful of our enormous responsibility to the Crescent City, its music-loving denizens and guests, the world-class artists who grace our stage, and jazz at-large,” Said Bresette. “We see the value NOJO provides to local musicians, and we will work our hardest to continue growing the Orchestra, providing increased performance opportunities and additional education programming for those willing to learn.”
