Celebrate Día de los Muertos at The Ogden Museum

NEW ORLEANS – The Ogden Museum of Southern Art announced this year’s celebration of Día de los Muertos. In partnership with the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation, the event will take place Oct. 30 at the museum.

The duo share guests should come dressed as their favorite Catrina or Catrino and create paper marigold flowers for the community ofrenda (altar), enjoy live music, kid’s activities, traditional food and more.

Tickets for the event are $15 for non-members, $7 and free for museum members.

  • Face painting by Anamaria Andrad
  • A traditional Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Altar created by Cynthia Ramirez
  • Traditional food for purchase
  • A cash bar
  • A kids’ art activity table
